43.He was the counsel who represented the accused persons for bail in India’s first case of hacking registered under the Information Technology Act, 2000. 44.He is a member of the Expert Group on Data Protection Legislation constituted by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. He is also a member of the Sub Committee of Legal Experts constituted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India to provide inputs on strengthening the Information Technology Act, 2000 on data protection provisions. 45.Pavan Duggal has testified before the Indian Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology, on the Communication Convergence Bill, 2001 46.He is Special invitee to the Technology Watch Group constituted by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Government of India. 47.At present, he is handling various newly emerging Cyberlaw litigations and disputes. 48.Pavan Duggal is a member of Information Forensic Working Group on e-Information Systems, Security and audit association. 49.Pavan is the Founder of The Cyberlaw Association, Internet’s pioneering association dedicated to the growth of Cyberlaws in cyberspace. 50.He has been associated with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP). 51.He is the Founder of Cyberarbitration, an online system of alternative dispute. 52.Pavan served as the Country Manager for India for the Global Internet Jurisdiction Survey 2003 conducted by American Bar Association and International Chamber of Commerce along with Internet Law and Policy Forum. This survey sought to determine the international impact of e-Commerce on jurisdiction issues. |
